A Little Information About HCDC

Located in the “thumb” of Michigan’s lower peninsula, the Huron County Drain Commission is responsible for the maintenance and construction of more than 320 active drainage districts covering more than 1,200 miles in length.  To contact the drain commission directly call 989-269-9320.

Roads

The Huron County Road Commission is responsible for the construction and maintenance of 344 miles of primary roads and 1,279 miles of local roads that lie within 27 townships.  We also maintain 341 lane miles of state trunk lines under a contract agreement with the Michigan Department of Transportation.

Parks

Airport

Huron County Memorial Airport is a business class airport featuring a 5,001 foot main runway and a 3,496 foot secondary runway.  It is the only airport in the thumb that provides jet service needs.  To contact the airport directly call 989-269-6511.
